Telecare for elderly people living alone has proved a fairly effective system for solving many problems that arise without it safely. However, there are certain sectors of the elderly, such as older people who suffer from deafness, which have a vacuum on this issue that is slowly adapting remedying and telecare to this group of people.
Currently, there are in Spain, almost half a million people over 65 who have a hearing problem. For this reason, it has created the “Plan Avanza”, Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, where it is working intensively in order to solve the problems that older people have to suffer deaf with conventional remote assistance .
