Steroids are known to as drugs that have dangerous side effects, where a person could also lose their life. That is why synthetic steroids are banned by the government. However, not all steroids are bad or harmful; actually they are useful and play an important role in development of human body. For example Testosterone is a naturally available steroid and is used for the growth of facial, chest or even pubic hair. It is used to improve sex drive. The side effects are also good as they would increase the strength or increase the aggressive nature of a person. The natural anabolic steroids are actually hormones that help a person to grow and also develop their bone and muscle tissues.
The problem is when people -especially sports persons- use synthetic steroids. They are ready to ignore the harmful side effect that affects their body by taking these steroids so they are able to achieve the fifteen minutes of glory. Some of the side effects are that person may develop high blood pressure, high cholesterol level, mood swings or even depressions, impotency, abnormal weight gain or even cancer. The worst is the person may lose his metabolism that means he could die of even a mild fever as his body is incapable of fighting any new infection. There is another thing that could happen is called the “Steroid rage” here the person may lose his mental balance, or his mind loses control of their body. Men could suddenly develop breasts, have problem while passing urine in other words chances of become a female is high and same for women, she might experience thicker voice, facial growth, shrinkage in breast etc.
