Hair Loss Treatment That Can Save You From Total Baldness

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Hair loss is a common problem that affects millions of men, women, and children. At least half of adults (both men and women) will experience some thinning or loss of hair by the time they are 60, and many men will become completely bald. This type of hair loss is different than the loss you experience every day when you shampoo or style your hair. The average person loses about 100 hairs a day. Abnormal hair loss means that you are shedding more than that and, in the case of the most common type of hair loss, the hair will not grow back. If you think your hair loss is excessive, you should see your doctor. He or she will be able to identify the cause and discuss your hair loss treatment options.
Hair loss can be triggered by stress, medications, birth control pills, pregnancy, various diseases such as thyroid conditions, anemia, syphilis, arthritis, as well as autoimmune disorder. In the case of autoimmune disorder, the body’s own immune system attacks the hair follicles. In many cases, this type of hair loss is a temporary condition, with hair regrowing on the bald patches spontaneously once the underlying causes are resolved.
If you observe receding hairline or thinning of hair on the crown and temples, it is time for action. These are the most common symptoms of hair loss and timely intervention can save you from total baldness. Try hair loss products that safely and effectively treat thinning hair as well as actual hair loss in men and women. These products will help stop hair loss and stimulate hair growth so you can grow new hair.

Understanding Hair Loss and Hair Re-growth Formulas

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

“Keep those lovely tresses flowing!” “Laser Hair Therapy!” “A treatment that revitalizes hair!”

Thousands of affirmations are made today by products available off the shelf just for you to use. They claim these formulas can re-grow hair miraculously but are these scientifically proven as they claim to be? Almost all of these are a complete waste of money. Almost all claim to be “the ONLY formula” that is clinically proven to stop hair loss. Now if this was to be true, won’t everyone be a proud owner of a healthy crop of hair? It should be noted that if one product benefits a person it may not have the same / similar effect on another. Also, age plays a vital important role too. An individual loses his/her hairs as he/she grows older.
Before you try any re-growth formula, it is important to analyze the causes of your hair loss because sometime simple things like changing of diet or usage of different shampoos may do the magic. Also remember, to get better, hair re-growth product needs to be used for atleast 6-7 months (hair growth is a slow process – normally grows about ½” per month) on regular basis. No results will be achieved if you jump from one product to another every week; at the end you might just land with a cabinet full of hair re-growth formulas and an empty wallet.

There are various hair restoration treatments available on the market today. Modern technology has produced some very effective treatments, both medical as well as surgical hair restoration treatments. These methods include Hair Transplantation, Laser Treatment, Hair Weaving, Capsules, lotions hair oils etc. However, there are also some another substitutes that are not effective at all. In case, you decide to go in for any of these treatments, make sure you know the difference between the two and the side effects (if any). Remember; even the very best treatment does not work for everyone. At times, even scientifically verified and approved treatments can have some side effects. So keeping all this in mind, how does one choose the best hair re-growth formula? 1. Make sure you consult a qualified hair specialist when considering some form of hair loss treatment – either surgical / medical. 2. When buying a hair re-growth formula, read the label properly for any advice / claims made by the manufacturer. Don’t just blindly go and buy just because your favorite actor/actress is promoting it. 3. Do some research online and ask some people who have used the product before going ahead and buying it. 4. Ensure that the treatment is suited to your body hormones or you may just land up with a bald plate. Also, check the doctors’ credentials. Whatever the product / treatment you choose, remember there can be side effects of taking too many at the same time. So beware and choose well!!!

The Secret of Good Hair Care

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

The secret to a good hair care is to know what your hair wants and needs, like know your hair texture (dry, normal or oily). Another thing to keep in mind is about the right kind of products suited to your hair. There are loads of products calling for your attention; but choose the one that suits you the best.

In today’s world, one hardly has time to go to a beauty parlor and sit there for hours to get soft, shiny, smooth hair. By following simple rules, you too can have great hair right at your home.

These rules are:
Avoid over-washing your hair. Short hair is easier to wash daily but not long hair. Over washing will dry the hair and make them brittle. Don’t apply shampoo directly to the roots. Start from the nape and then work it through the rest of your hair. Distribute conditioner evenly through your hair. Use a comb to spread the conditioner evenly through your hair. Avoid twisting of wet hair. It may be convenient, but try to avoid wrapping your hair in a towel and leaving it twisted up on your head for long. It can damage your hair. Avoid using hair dryer everyday. Allow your hair to dry naturally whenever possible. Deep conditioning treatment: Once a week give your hair a deep conditioning treatment. For this home deep conditioning treatment all you need is an egg and 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Wet hair and gently massage beaten egg through it. Leave on for 3 minutes then wash off with warm water. Massage in mayonnaise and wrap a hot towel around your head for 30 minutes. Shampoo off with warm water. You won’t need a conditioner and will be a proud owner of shiny, soft, conditioned hair.

Another weekly conditioning hair pack can be made using henna and egg. Mix henna with egg and leave it over night in an iron vessel. Apply this paste in the morning on clean hair and leave it for half an hour for natural conditioning before washing with your usual shampoo.

Do not comb your hair when wet. This may cause to hair breakage as it become very weak during this time.

A good hair massage before washing your hair can do wonders. Massage in warm olive oil or coconut oil and leave for 30-40 minutes before washing. Regular massage with castor oil as a hair oil helps the luxuriant growth of the hair.

Do not wash your hair with very hot water. Always use lukewarm water.

Regular use of coconut milk on your scalp would make your hair silky and also improves hair growth.

These are some tips to get healthy and beautiful hair. Remember to follow your routine regularly to get good results. If changing your product, stick to the new one for a month or two to see the results. Natural products are harmless and cheaper too.
